Have you ever wondered why some love stories feel more real than others? Whether you’re writing romance, crime or even fantasy, there’s probably going to be a love interest or two (or three!) in your story.
Join bestselling romance authors, Teresa F Morgan and Fay Keenan, for a taster of their ‘How to Write a Love Scene’ workshop, coming later this year. They will be sharing the inspirations behind their novels, as well as an interactive activity, to inspire you to write a captivating romance of your own!
No writing experience necessary – all you need is a pen, some paper and a small sprinkling of inspiration.
Weston Writers’ Nights is a supportive space for budding writers of all ages and abilities to come together and learn more about the exciting, sometimes bewildering world of publishing, fiction and writing. We’re passionate about good stories, connecting people and most importantly, empowering writers.
This workshop will be held on Zoom. Tickets are now available for free on Eventbrite.
More about the authors:
Teresa F Morgan loves writing contemporary romance, stories with a touch of escapism and creating heroes that readers will fall in love with. Her debut novel Plus One is a Lucky Number was published in August 2013 by HarperImpulse (now One More Chapter). This novel, having gone through the RNA’s New Writer Scheme, led to Teresa being a contender for the Romantic Novelist Association’s Joan Hessayon New Writer’s Award in 2014. Teresa has a further two novels published with One More Chapter: One Fine Day and Meet Me At Wisteria Cottage. Having last year signed a three-book contract with Sapere books, Teresa has two novels out this year. The first, Cocktails at Kittiwake Cove, will be out in May 2021.
Fay Keenan’s latest novel, Snowflakes Over Bay Tree Terrace, released by Boldwood Books in August 2020, is based in the iconic town of Glastonbury, and explores the lives of a school teacher and an air ambulance pilot who just happen to live next door to each other. A Place to Call Home, was released in November 2019 and is also set in Glastonbury. It was inspired by an old photograph, a lifelong love of politics and the campaign for cystic fibrosis drugs. When Holly meets Charlie, sparks will fly! Available in paperback, ebook and audio, this novel was a real passion project. Fay’s bestselling ‘Little Somerby’ trilogy explores the lives and loves of the residents of an idyllic Somerset village. Sprinkled with a liberal dose of cider and sauce, these novels are perfect for curling up with! Published by Aria Fiction, they are available in paperback, audio and ebook.
